Art deco dancer "Katta Sterna". Viennese manufactory Friedrich Goldscheider.
Stamp mark GS 19 with the addition "Made in Austria" and "Hand Decorated", ca. 1922-1941. Model no. 5600 50 6, incised B 8. Design: Josef LORENZL (1892-1950), ca. 1926/27.
Faience, painted in color. H 44.5 cm.
Dancer in costume with outstretched arm, on an oval and faceted edged base. The GS catalog raisonné states that it cannot be proven with certainty whether this individual figure is the German actress and singer Katta Sterna (1897-1984). Fingers of the right hand chipped.
