Terracotta. Label "Eugene Augot 27 Rue Caumartine Paris". H 50 cm. 9.25 kg.
Antique-style family of four on a round base. Mother and father in dynamic gait with one child on the man's shoulders and the other following the woman. After a design by the French sculptor Clodion, actually Claude Michel (1738 Nancy - 1814 Paris). Chipped (foot of a boy, right hand of a woman), visible restoration to the lower edge on the reverse (with partial, retouched break-off).
