A so-called Monochromes Banketje, it was primarily painted in Haarlem. High-format arrangement with a wine wheel, loaf of bread, pewter bowl, oysters, lemon and a knife protruding over the edge of the table on a stone slab with draped cloth, painted in a typical triangular composition with light reflections on glass and metal. As new, elaborately worked profile frame. Doubled, as new stretcher frame.
* Heda, painter and brewer, nothing is known about his training as a painter. Member of the Haarlem Guild of St. Luke, works in numerous international museums.
