* Kerkovius, German-Latvian painter and graphic artist, studied at the academy in Stuttgart, 1908 master student of Adolf Hoelzel, from 1911 freelance, 1920-1923 at the Bauhaus in Weimar, 1958 titular professor, her works are of a formally balanced order in a cheerful colorfulness.
