* Brüning, painter and graphic artist, studied at the academies in Leipzig and Munich, master student of Franz von Stuck, drawing teacher of the Prussian Crown Prince Wilhelm. His etchings (over 200 plates) were destroyed in a bombing raid during the Second World War, member of the Deutscher Künstlerbund, works in numerous international museums.
