Historical ring with rose-cut diamonds from the Netherlands.
Dutch oak leaf hallmark, in use (1906–1953), 585 yellow gold. Silver tested. Ring size 54, diameter of the ring head 10.19 mm. 2.7 g.
Ring featuring a rose-cut diamond set in silver to form a daisy cluster, set within a band featuring wave-like engravings. The underside shows traces of previous repairs, which are not noticeable from the front.
Jewelry in the style of the late 18th/early 19th century was in demand during the Second Rococo period (ca. 1840–1870) as well as around the turn of the century and was primarily crafted in Belgium and the Netherlands. Some of the diamonds used may also originate from older pieces of jewelry.
