Studentika Collection—Embroidered Textiles of the Westfalenbund Halle.
The flag measures 120.0 x 105.0 cm. Total weight: 7.5 kg.
Collection consisting of various textiles from the Westfalenbund Halle an der Saale, notably a large, embroidered club flag bearing the Westphalian coat of arms on the front, along with the motto “Westphalia, land of red earth, to you I remain faithful until death”. The reverse side features the Hermann Monument in Detmold, embroidered with an oak leaf wreath and the years 1923 (year of founding) and 1930.
Also included is a collection of other club textiles: 6+1+1 red-and-white sashes, one of slightly higher quality with a rosette on the shoulder, and the other six identical sashes, each with gold trimmings at the ends; a wreath bow with a dedication and date marking the 1930 founding celebration; a standard bearing the year of the association’s founding; a long cord with trimmings, presumably for attaching a flag or curtain; and a pin. With slight signs of age; the metal threads of the trimmings, especially on the flag, show some oxidation and other signs of age and wear.
