Terracotta, slip glaze in brown and black, colored slip painting. Height approx. 19.5 cm. 0.62 kg.
Small, bulbous vase with a flared mouth and delicate snowdrop decoration. Ring around the mouth with a minor glaze chip.
Max Laeuger is considered one of the most important Art Nouveau ceramicists and a pioneer of German art ceramics. His experimental forms and designs were produced by the Kandern Pottery and the Karlsruhe Majolica Manufactory.
