Biedermeier tea box with brass fittings.
Cherry veneer, brass, cut steel, bone. 18.8 x 10.7 x 12.8 cm. 860 g.
High-quality Biedermeier tea box with brass hardware on the outside; inside, two compartments; the lids feature buttons and decorative rivets in cut steel. The underlying, second lids feature bone buttons. Overall, shows signs of age and wear: the interior finish is flawed, with scratches and some chips in the veneer. On the back, along the base panel, there is veneer loss and a crack extending nearly the entire length. The attached brass frame is slightly loose in places but is secure.
Comes with a key. The locking mechanism is functional.
