Mont Blanc Fountain Pen: John Lennon Special Edition.
The nib is 18k (750) white gold, rhodium-plated, stamped 925 silver, with a guilloche pattern. Length 14.5 cm, box dimensions 34 x 34 x 6 cm, tanzanite 0.045 ct according to the enclosed booklet. 77 g.
Mont Blanc fountain pen in the John Lennon Commemoration Edition 1940, produced in 2010 to commemorate John Lennon’s 70th birthday in a limited edition of 1,940 pieces. The engraving October 2, 1971 commemorates the release of his most famous song, “Imagine”, as does the engraving of a peace sign on the nib. John Lennon’s iconic self-portrait is engraved beneath the cap; the platinum-plated clip is designed to resemble a guitar neck and set with a diamond-shaped tanzanite. The fountain pen as a whole likely requires light cleaning and shows minimal signs of use. The outer box shows signs of use and storage both inside and out.
