Kneeling female nude. Descomps created a plaster version of the sculpture “L’aurore” between 1927 and 1933; it is housed in the Musée d’Art moderne de Paris. Signs of age and wear, a few small scratches and chips, surface partially rubbed.
Joseph Jules Emmanuel Descomps: French sculptor and goldsmith, also known as Joé Descomps-Cormier or Cormier, a student of Louis-Auguste Hiolin and Alexandre Falguière.
