The "Reitschule" series explains the individual steps of horseback riding. This collection includes the following from the series’ total of 22 prints: 1) Mounting (Thienemann 606), 2.) Changing leads (Thienemann 619), 3.) Redop (Thienemann 620), and 4.) Balotades (Thienemann 626). Each of these prints includes a description in German and French as well as a corresponding illustration. Johann Elias Ridinger provided the artwork for the prints; they were engraved either by Johann Balthasar Probst or Johann Daniel Hertz and published by Johann Christian Leopold and Jeremias Wolff, respectively, in Augsburg. The prints by Probst are each dated 1722. Each title page has a handwritten addition; the prints are trimmed and discolored.
