Unmarked, incised signature "A. Foretay." Circa 1900. Design: Alfred Jean Foretay(1861 Morges – 1944 Geneva)
Terracotta, glazed in matte shades of gray. H approx. 63 cm. 8 kg.
Bust of the Germanic priestess and seer Velleda. Hairpin and earring missing; one section of hair glued back on but has come loose again; minor chips.
