Wedding procession, additional figures, houses, and horse-drawn carriages, mounted on a wooden board to depict a street scene in a small town: 6 musicians, 1 pastor, 1 flower girl, a bride and groom, 10 wedding guests, a woman with a baby carriage, 4 houses (post office, town hall, bakery, pharmacy), a fruit stand with an awning, 2 advertising columns, 4 horse-drawn carts, 1 dovecote, 1 doghouse with a small dog, and 9 additional miniature figures. Signs of age, minor defects, and missing parts.
The Wedding procession was displayed as shown in the exhibition “Journey to the Männelmakers” at the Pirna City Museum in the winter of 2016/2017. / Louis Heinrich Hiemann (1857–1939) was a folk artist from the Erzgebirge who became known as a “Seiffen Männelmacher.” He was one of the most important makers of miniature figures.
