Hallmark GS 7 (ca. 1895–1910), hallmark GS Z 11 (ca. 1895–1922), maker’s mark “Cherc”. Circa 1900. Model No. 1802, 32, 1. Design: Hans Schörk (under the pseudonym Cherc)(1849 Vienna – 1899 Vienna?)
Light-colored shards, glazed in a dark bronze color. Height approx. 95 cm. 16.78 kg.
Depiction of the French writer Cyrano de Bergerac (1619–1655) in a standing, battle-ready pose, right arm extended forward, left hand holding his sword; wearing a cavalier’s hat and a long coat; on a coffin-shaped pedestal with the inscription “Cyrano de Bergerac - Et à la fin de l'envoi je touche". Base cracked and chipped, cloak chipped, index finger of the left hand glued, metal sword with defects, glaze chipped.
