A young woman holding a girl close to her body in her right arm, wading through the water together. Signs of age and wear; patina partially rubbed off; scratches; base chipped.
Mathurin Moreau: Sculptor in Paris; studied under his father, J.-B. Moreau, as well as under Claude Ramey and Albert Dumont.
