Large silver trophy with a dedication from Emperor Wilhelm II.
Hallmarked on the edge of the base: Wilkens & Söhne logo/800/crescent moon/crown, with the jeweler’s mark of Gebr. Friedländer. On the underside of the base, a dealer’s label from the Friedländer brothers, Berlin. 1909.
Silver. H 45.5 cm, total height with base 53.5 cm. 3217 g (base filled).
Classic cup shape with angled handles and garland reliefs in the Neoclassical style. Dedication engraving on the front: “Emperor Wilhelm II To the winner of the XV Army Corps hunting race in 1909.” Round wooden base with a silver ring mounted on top and an engraved border reading “Winner: Lt. Winter (3rd Silesian Dragoon Regt. 15) on Amanda v. Diavold (East Prussia)", as well as a silver plaque reading "Amanda von Diavold". A few small dents; handles slightly crushed.
