Enameled Rococo snuffbox.
7.2 x 4.2 x 3.2 cm. 103 g.
Enameled snuff box with white cartouches and slightly raised border decorations. The cartouches on the front and back of the lid are each painted in violet with depictions of cherubs; another is located on the inside of the lid. The sides and bottom are adorned with cartouches featuring a simple floral design. The lid has a crack and a chip; both the inside of the lid and the bottom show a spiderweb-like pattern of cracks; the gilding on the metal mountings is worn and has developed a patina on the inside.
