The animals in the meadow between the rocks under a cloudy sky.
Painter in Karlsruhe, a student of his father Wilhelm Heinrich G. Baisch; studied at the Stuttgart Art School and in Paris; a master student of Lier in Munich. From 1881, he was a professor at the Karlsruhe Academy of Art. He was strongly influenced by the Old Masters of the Netherlands as well as by the Fontainebleau School. Leading representative of German plein air painting.
