Italian art deco mandolin.
Body length: 30.0 cm, scale length: 33.7 cm. 595 g.
Mandolin in art deco design with ornamental inlays in mother-of-pearl and ebonized wood of classic construction. Spruce top, the back probably maple. Inside with a label by Luigi Embergher, dated 1927. Luigi Embergher (1856-1943): Italian violin maker, specialized in the construction of sometimes very high-quality mandolins. Comes with a modern added strap and a presumably original carrying bag in linen. Overall with signs of age and use; the arched back with some dry cracks.
