P. 85 (verso and recto) of the part "Quinta etas mundi" (5th World Age) from Hartmann Schedel's famous World Chronicle in Latin - the illustrated account of world history from the beginning of the world to 1492/1493, published in Nuremberg in 1493. It was divided into 7 world ages according to the tradition of medieval chronicles. The 656-page work contains more than 1800 woodcuts from the Nuremberg workshop of Michael Wolgemut (1434 - 1519). Somewhat foxing, edges grip- and crease-marked.
German physician, humanist and historian; his main work is the so-called Schedelsche Weltchronik.
