Vase base for petroleum lamp.
Porcelain and brass. H 52 cm. 6 kg.
Conical vase with two large picture cartouches. Flower piece with peacock and battle scene, warrior killing a monkey, behind him a snake. Three small thickenings at the foot and two flat relief fans as handles. Ornamental brass mount on top and bottom. Above insert for petroleum with Chinese character. Gold paint somewhat rubbed.
