Gerd Krauss was a German stage designer, film architect and painter who studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach and worked at the municipal stages in Frankfurt am Main from a young age. His designs and works can be found in more than a thousand cinema and television films as well as renowned opera houses and theatres worldwide. He is the winner of the Prix Italia, the Silver Rose of Montreux, the Telestar and the German Television Award 1989.
