Created in 1923, inserted in 1949 in the catalogue of the exhibition "Der Keilrahmen" of the Rheinische Künstlergemeinschaft in the Kölnischer Kunstverein. Upper margin verso with traces of glue.
German painter, graphic artist and sculptor; considered one of the most important representatives of Expressionism; co-founder of the artist group Brücke. More than 600 of his works were confiscated as "degenerate" under National Socialist dictatorship and some were also destroyed.
