English fireside dog and nautical book. Probably Staffordshire.
Ceramic light glazed, gold-studded and painted. Maritime book with quite a few entries/stamps.
Also called captain's dog or puffing dog souvenir from England; mainly brought by sailors / 1902 in Hamburg issued seafaring book of the German Empire. Voyages with various steamers mostly to the east coast of South America as a boy or light seaman until 1906. Glaze crackled, slightly rubbed. Book stained, binding partially loosened.
