Bakscheev, landscape and genre painter. Studied at the Academy in Moscow. Pupil of Vladimir Egorovich Makovsky and Vasilij Dmitrievich Polenov. From 1894 taught in Moscow, in 1940 professor. Member of the Cooperative for traveling exhibitions. 1943 State Prize, 1956 National Artist.
