Terracotta light glazed. Inscribed, inside old adhesive label with designation and indistinct pencil writing. H 30 cm.
Toward a main view worked, fully plastic figure of kneeling woman, who holds in aparte gesture the cloth trailing her at her shoulders. Somewhat bumped, glaze minimally crackled.
Sculptor in Munich, studied at the Kunstgewerbeschulen Kassel and Weimar and in Munich with Richard Berndl and Heinrich Wadere. From 1919 active in Munich at the Academy ibid. with Bernhard Bleeker. In 1930, she participated in the "German Art Exhibition" in the Munich Glass Palace; in the years 1937-1944, she supplied several times the "Great German Art Exhibitions" in Munich.
