If Hugo Scheiber, then: Hugo Scheiber (1873 Budapest - 1950 ibid.) was a Hungarian painter of modernism. His father was a scenery painter in the Prater, which he helped at an early age. He attended the School of Arts and Crafts in Budapest from 1898 to 1900, during which time he oriented himself towards Impressionism. In 1919 he had a joint exhibition with Béla Kádár in Vienna and later met Herwarth Walden there, who prompted him to come to Berlin in 1922, where his work was eventually shown at the gallery "Der Sturm". In the 1920s he became increasingly involved with Futurism and Expressionism. He was a member of the Vienna Hagenbund and the Hungarian Artists' Association and the Association of New Artists. In Budapest his works were shown in recurrent exhibitions at the Ernst Museum or the Tamás Gallery. In 1933, at the invitation of Marinetti, he participated in the meeting of Futurists "Mostra Nazionale d'Arte Futurista", but in the 1930s was increasingly oriented towards Art Deco.
