Courtly lady in company riding and courtly cavalier in company riding. Decorative colorful genre scenes with a masterful depiction of horses and riders. The focus is on the courtly couple in a landscape with a deep horizon. Profiled wash gold frames.
Casanova, Italian painter, draftsman. His brother was the famous writer and adventurer Giacomo Casanova. From 1728 resident in Venice, where he was a pupil of Gianantonio Guardi. From about 1750 pupil of Francesco Simonini. 1752-1757 active in Dresden, 1758-1783 in Paris. 1763 member of the Paris Academy and Peintre du Roi. Active in Vienna since 1783. Works in numerous international museums * Partner auction Bergmann.
