Baroque figure: Hercules. Meissen.
Around 1750. model no. 412.
Height: 20 cm.
Model by Johann Joachim Kaendler and collaborators 1743. colored painted. Incised mark on base, without sword mark. Five claws bumped, two small fire cracks.
Kaendler renewed the figure in 1770 with the new model no. D 61 and writes about it: "a large figure which the Hercules Vorstellet on the best auspoußiret, it is this image surrounded by a lion skin, holds in his right hand his club, and is because of his rigid by gängig at the Leibe have been very laborious" * Partner auction Bergmann.
