Erzia, pseudonym, real family name: Nefyodov. Russian sculptor of Ersyan (Volga Finnish) origin. Studied painting and sculpture at the Academy in Moscow. Pupil of Sergei Mikhailovich Volnukhin and Paolo Troubetskoy. 1906-1914 in Italy and France, 1926 in Paris, from 1927 in Argentina. Lived and worked in Buenos Aires.
