Conical rechaud/stove with two handles. Without insert and lid. 1 air nose restored.
A veilleuse consisted of a base (réchaud), a shallow oil bowl/lamp/burner, an insert bowl with handles and a lid. It was used both as a night light and to keep food and drink warm, which bedridden and sick people could drink or spoon from the inserted bowl.
