Landscape painter, student of the Academy Leipzig with Neher and Jäger and in Weimar with Fr. Preller the Elder). Active in Rome, Vienna, Leipzig and Dresden, where he was a drawing teacher at the Cadet Corps in 1893/1911. This picture came to the museum in Weimar in 1885.
