After 1900. embossed on the base "Ferrand". Werknr. 1216.
Marked movement with half-hour strike on bell, running. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, minute ring and Romaines hands, marked "Theodor Elsass Königl. Hof-Uhrmacher, Wiesbaden".
Bronzed cast metal, green onyx marble. Approx. 50,5 x 26 x 16 cm. 6.9 kg.
Louis Seize style case with crowning female figure holding a dove by the wings (The Captive). Made after the model of the French sculptor Ernest Justin Ferrand (1846-1932). Slight signs of age and wear.
With supplemented key and pendulum. Theodor Elsass was in Wiesbaden tägig and at the end of the 19th century, among other things, a member of the overall board of the German Watchmakers Association.
