Maple and spruce, ebonized wood, black lacquer. Bow probably brazilwood. Body 35.0 cm. Bow 72 cm.
Violin with antique varnish. Unmarked bow with round stick. Black case. Bottom detached from the rib in a length of about 5 cm, rib restored, pressure marks v.a. on the bottom, varnish heavily rubbed. Bow with lacquer damage, screw stiff, stringing partly torn. Case with signs of age/use.
Renzo Bechini was active as a luthier in Livorno, Pisa and Milan.
