Each tempera/ivory, glazed frame of ebonized wood or brass filigree imitation with 4 glass beads. Ø 7.5 cm or 8 x 6.5 cm, frame maximum 14.5 x 14.5 cm. 187 g.
In the original ebonized frame, a high-quality painted tondo of a young woman, signed or inscribed "Charlier" / "Opie" inscribed, finely worked portrait of a woman with a rose on her hair veil.
If Jacques Charlier, then: French miniature painter (around 1720 - 1790), perhaps a pupil of Boucher, after whom he worked a lot. Trade license within the EU is available. Import restrictions may apply.
