Baroque Thuringian faience stein with architecture.
Probably Erfurt. Late 18th century
White glaze, colored hot-fire painting. H 28 cm.
Cylindrical body with strap handle, manganese-painted walls all around, crowned reserve with rocailles and architectural view on the front. Pewter lid with ball finial, engraved "JhK 1808", pewter stand. Wall cracked, slight signs of age and use, slight glaze marks.
