If Hans Josef Weber-Tyrol, then: Austrian painter (1874 Schwaz - 1957 Meran). He studied at the academy in Munich under Gabriel von Hackl, Nikolaus Gysis and Paul Höcker. He then undertook several trips to Rome, Venice, Genoa, Naples and Paestum, but returned to Munich, where he was a member of the Secession. In 1927, he became a permanent resident of South Tyrol and was the founder of the artists' association "Der Neue Bund". He is considered a pioneer of modern painting in Tyrol. His friendship with Albin Egger-Lienz from 1905 onwards had a lasting influence on him. His works can be seen in the Belvedere in Vienna, among other places.
