French splendid pendulum with colored porcelain inlays in the style of Sèvres.
2nd half 19th century. Stamped "Ph. Mourey" on the reverse. Movement No. 39.
"Regnault Fils, Chesnier & Sarrazin Paris" marked movement with half-hour strike on bell. Functional in short time test. Indistinctly marked dial (Hirschfeld? [...]) with white cartouches and Roman numerals and black lacquered hands.
Bronzed cast metal, porcelain inlays and applications in color and gold. H 37 cm. 6.4 kg.
Case made in the Baroque style, lavishly decorated with crowning doves in a bird's nest, column decoration on the slanted corners and oval medallion. Painting with pastoral scene, musical symbols and flowers. Signs of age and wear, partly loosened appliqués, dial slightly chipped.
