France. Late 19th century. Plinth engraved on the underside "BY ple [...]". No. P4.
Swiss movement with lever escapement and half-hour strike on bell, keywind. Functional in short time test. White enamel dial inscribed "A. Beurdeley Fils à Paris" with Roman and Arabic numerals, minute ring and Louis Quinze hands.
Bronze, fire-gilt and cobalt blue patinated. Clock h 36 cm, 3.7 kg. Side plates H 25.5 cm, 1.4 kg each.
Louis Seize-style pendulum in the shape of a vase or urn with rich floral decoration and removable lid, on a round base with square plinth. With two single-flame candlesticks in the shape of sculptural faun boys on a round base. Minimal signs of age and wear.
