Mountain man's candlestick as oil lamp and mining plate.
Each hallmarked.
H 27 cm, Ø 20.5 cm.
Miner standing on the round base with engraving "1838", carrying the oil container made of clear glass with his hands raised on his head. The foot with the hallmark of Johann Gotthelf Friebel in Leipzig / plate with embossed miners on the embossed city coat of arms of Prague(?) and the inscription "Glückauf" over a braided ground; humped flag with engraving "FM 1792", verso hallmark of Josef Neidhardt in Schlaggenwald. Soldered joint between foot and miner detached, some dents on the foot.
J. G. Friebel becomes master craftsman in Dresden in 1836 / J. Neidhardt is master craftsman in Schlaggenwald and exhibited pewter tools in Prague in 1829.
