Empire carriage clock in original "Tarault Jeune" case.
France. 1st half 19th century
"Jean Fol à Paris" signed full plate movement with florally decorated balance bridge, verge escapement, chain and fusee, hour repeater on bell with supplemented rope winding, keywind. Runs, strike not perfect, in need of revision. Marked, white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, minute ring and Breguet hands.
Gilt bronze. Ø 10.2 cm, W 3.5 cm, H with bracket 14.5 cm. 650 g.
Flat drum case with classical relief decoration, tongue frieze and fluted rim, round carrying handle.
With 2 keys, in wine-red case.
