Infantry officer's sword - crown sword.
Bladder marked: "P. Knecht", "Solingen". Prussia.
Blade L 83 cm, total L 102 cm.
Straight, single-edged blade with broad fuller, point in the center line. Somewhat plastered etching pattern on both sides, with crowned monogram "FWR". Old style IOD grip with an attached crown at the pommel end. Red felt inserted into the crown (loose), probably later. Black leather scabbard with hook and lanyard. Soldered guard plate, crown probably mounted later.
