Sabre of the 'Swiss Guard' 1730.
Saxony.
Blade L 75 cm, total L 88 cm.
Curved, single-edged blade with a point in the midline and a narrow fuller on the back. On both sides the monogram "AR" with an electoral hat. Brass hilt, heavily plastered, with a palmette-shaped quillons and guard plate, curved towards the blade. Upper end of the hilt attached to the guard mouth. Seam of the grip partially open, newly riveted.
