"The modeller Karl Tutter (1883 - 1969), born in Neudek in the Sudetenland, received his training in Austria. He worked as a modeler in the German porcelain industry from as early as 1900. As a prisoner of war in Eastern Siberia, he modeled for the State Museum of Regional Studies in Khabarovsk, among others. He returned from captivity in 1920. From 1922 onwards, he created a wealth of designs for the Hutschenreuther art department in Selb for almost four decades. The fallow deer group is one of his last compositions."
