"Alexander Struck (1902 - 1990) attended the Meissen School of Drawing at the age of barely 15 and studied at the Dresden Academy. From the 1930s onwards, his designs were realized in the manufactory. Although he mainly created fairy-tale and legendary figures, he also devoted himself to animal sculptures, as these playing bears show."
