Solid and stained oak. H approx. 89.5 cm, seat height approx. 44.5 cm.
Simple design chair with plywood backrest with heart-shaped cut-out, on 4 pillar legs, original condition with intact wickerwork. Good original condition.
German architect, designer and university lecturer; one of the most important artists of Art Nouveau, whose innovative "machine furniture" designs in clear, strict forms were geared towards largely mechanical production and were therefore also affordable for the masses.
