Rare silhouette cup. Gotha.
R mark, around 1775/80.
Polychrome painted, sepia painting, gold decoration. Cup (h 7.5 cm), original saucer (Ø 13.5 cm).
Bell-shaped cup with ear handle. On the front a medallion with the portrait silhouette of a lady, in the mirror of the saucer a medallion with putti painting. Without lid, minimal gold wear.
