Tinplate, original blue lacquer with gold decoration, frosted clear glass. Light size 15.3 x 12.5 cm, plate size 16.5 x 14.3 cm. H 34 cm in total.
Standing shade with frosted glass pane in a curved insert frame and candle spout above the stepped square base with drawer. Top with support ring. Damage to the paintwork.
Diaphanies (transparent images) are translucent images on paper.
Provenance : From the Thuringian nobility. Restitution property with inventory number of the Altenburg Residential Palace, formerly part of the von der Gabelentz family collection at Poschwitz Castle.
