Large bronze medal in original box for the Genoa Conference 1922.

Gold-colored bronze. Red-brown leather casket inside with red velvet and silk. Ø 10 cm, casket 2.5 x 14 x 14 cm.
Medal in rich relief on both sides. Obverse bust portrait of Christopher Columbus with legend "Cristoforo Colombo", flanked by the allegories for America and Europe. Reverse George the Dragon Slayer with Roman date 1492 and legend to the Genoa Conference; above empty cartouche carried by genii. Minor signs of age/use to the casket.
L. Pogliaghi was an Italian painter, illustrator, sculptor and medallist in Milan.
